Rosalie
When we went to collect Myrte, Rosalie was also to be handed over to us and it was certainly lucky for her because she was very scared, very thin and had scars all over her back. Her legs were terribly damaged with knocks and swellings on every leg.
When we got her home we realised just how depressed she was. They said she was four, but in fact from her teeth she is clearly only two and a half and had had a very bad start in life. Now we have had her for four months she has been wormed, fed properly and has put on plenty of weight, she is really kind and gentle. She trusts us completely and is like a different horse.

Happy ending...In February 2012, we managed to pass Rosalie onto a local horse charity (ASHA) who will school her and get her ready to go to a new riding home to start the rest of her active life. Although we miss her terribly it was the best solution for Rosalie as she was young and didn't want to spend her days in retirement with the rest of our oldies here. We will continue to follow her progress with interest and as we collected her literally from the butchers yard we feel so happy to have saved her life.
