Wednesday 29th december the snow still lay on the ground but that didn't deter 23 people from visiting us here at Liberte des Anes for our Christmas Open Day. The visitors were treated to sausage rolls, quiche, mince pies and warm festive mulled wine and a walk around the donkeys both in the stables and out in the fields. Everyone enjoyed themselves and many people wrote in afterwards saying how good it was to have an insight into our daily lives of looking after these lucky animals who have been saved from either a life of pain and misery or slaughter. We raised 274 euros from contributions for the day. Our thanks go to all those who came to support us.
Have a look at some of the pictures of the day.
