Help us to help the donkeys

Please help us with the enormous costs involved in looking after these animals: 
  • the purchase of our horse trailer
  • the petrol for their collection,
  • the veterinary fees to bring them into good health 
  • the costs of medication
  • the veterinary costs of identity chipping them and supplying the paperwork to enable us to apply for their passports (this is obligitory now) 
  • their annual vaccinations against tetanus and flu
  • their ongoing farrier costs
  • the costs involved with their worming programme (most of these animals have never been wormed before)
  • our purchase of both large and small bales of hay and straw which the donkeys both eat and sleep on
  • ecolit litter which we use very sparingly in addition to the straw as our animals come in to their stable at night
And so it goes on. 
 
All of this costs an enormous amount of money. Please be generous and contact us if you feel you can assist. We have a variety of ways you can help us to help the donkeys, including attending special events, visiting on open days and several direct contribution schemes.

Other fundraising ideas are always welcome. 

Contributions

One-off and small donations are welcome any time. 

On an on-going basis, become a 'friend of Liberté des Anes' for just 25 euros a year (5 euros for children). 

If you're really passionate about donkey welfare, then why not become a full member? Membership costs 10 euros a month.

We can also accept donations, friend subscriptions and memberships in sterling via a UK bank account.

Open Days

Open days are held at the refuge where visitors can meet the donkeys, horses and mules. Lunch, soft drinks, tea and coffee can be purchased and a 'bring and buy' operates in one of the barns selling objects, toys, furniture and clothes. 

Please watch out for our Open Days advertising on this site and in our local area where we put up posters. We also send emails with the forthcoming dates when we will be open again for you to come to visit the donkeys.

On the mend after 3 months
I would just like to let you know that we now have a large stock of English books at the shop. We are selling these at 1 euro a piece on behalf of the donkey sanctuary 'Liberté des Anes'.
